My name is Jie Lidi. Today, my topic is: “Confidence”. As we all know, failure is the mother of success. But What I want to say is that success is the child of confidence. Without confidence, things can become negative and uncomfortable. I remember, during an English class, I wanted to make a sentence using the word "listen". I should have said: "I listen to the Voice of America" but I was too nervous and said "I listen to the Noise of America". Everybody in the class laughed. 春节是我们中华民族的传统节日。既然是传统节日当然会有传统习俗。放鞭炮、穿新衣、吃饺子……当然还有很多数都数可是来。
其中重要的当然会有几个啦。比如说：吃饺子。
吃饺子这个规矩不明白是谁定的。可是，自我出生以来就有。记得小时候妈妈把饺子里放上硬币大小不一。有一块的、五毛的，甚至还有一分的。其实只为图个吉利。预示来年顺顺利利。
还有放鞭炮。记得小时候爸爸带我放鞭炮，虽然震得耳朵都疼了可是还是很开心。那一鞭鞭的红鞭炮好像红红的大蜈蚣，又像小女孩长长的辫子染成了红红的颜色。霹雳啪了的声音让我的心里都沸腾了。
还有几个不成文的规定是：在大年初一的那天，太阳出来之前必须不能开柜子、拿剪刀等等。因为开了柜子会招老鼠，拿了剪刀不明白会怎样，可是必须不能拿的。
还有过年必须要守岁的，除夕夜晚全家人一齐看春晚。虽然会有点无聊可是还得一齐守岁。在钟声想起的时候才能入眠。这个其实也有点幸福啦。

小时候，听奶奶说，春节，是中国古代人为了防止年兽的到来，而设立的节日。
在古代，有一头名为年的怪兽，无恶不赦，浑身上下长着红色的皮毛，每到现在的春节的时候的夜晚，变下山抢掠牲畜，杀人放火，人们因为害怕它，每到这时，便跑到别的地方，直到天亮，大家都恨透了它。
一天，村庄里来了一个浑身红衣的老人，听了村民的话，笑了，晚上，当人们全都逃走后，他坐在屋内，放了鞭炮，当年来到这里时，便被吓到，慌忙逃跑，人们知道了，纷纷效仿……
所以，今天，人们都要在春节放炮，穿红衣。
古时候，人们会在春节时，将铜板包上红纸，拿绳绑好，放在孩子的枕头底下，以求孩子在新的一年平安幸福，大年夜这一天，人们还要穿红衣，吃年夜饭，年夜饭一般都是饺子，以求团圆，人们通常还会在里面放上一个糖或者硬币，谁吃到了带糖或者带硬币的，谁新的一年都会平平安安，健康快乐。
如今，春节早没有了当年的许多老规矩，可春节，却永远印在我们的脑海里。

每年除夕，人们都开始为新年做准备。他们在家里挂灯笼贴对联打扫卫生。做好一切准备后，我开始围着一张桌子吃美味的年夜饭。虽然是“年夜饭”，但从下午4点左右开始，而不是通常的晚餐时间，所以午餐被冲走了。但是觉得可以吃年夜饭，忍忍就值得了。
吃完后，人们开始长时间的“守夜”，通常会持续到元旦0点，甚至彻夜不眠。在此期间，人们可以看《春晚》，放鞭炮赶走“年兽”，直到春节的钟声响起。
大年初一，人们穿上新衣服，大人给孩子压岁钱，让他们安稳一年。这一天，全家人应该一起行动。像我们湖南人都会去庙会，那里的年味很浓郁。孩子们可以在庙会上买到许多小手工艺品和美食，如“兔子叶儿”、“吹糖人”、“糖葫芦”，而成年人则可以看到“京剧”、“花鼓戏”、“变脸”、“杂技”等五颜六色的中国传统戏剧，这些戏剧受到了反复的掌声。
其中，我们的孩子最喜欢的是糖葫芦。这个庙会的糖葫芦比普通的糖葫芦好很多，路边的糖葫芦不是太甜就是太酸，失去了魅力。不过这个庙会的糖葫芦，刚开始吃起来是甜的，打开糖皮之后是酸的。这样酸酸甜甜的味道刺激你嘴里的味蕾，然后你嚼着香脆的糖皮和山楂粉。好吃的味道无法用语言来形容！
春节要一直持续到元宵节，每一天都要不同的传统习俗，这都是祖先们智慧的结晶，虽然现在的年味淡了，但它的本质却没有淡——团圆。
Good afternoon everyone.I’m Wu Yunfei .Today ,I’ll talk about the topic about spring festival . The Spring festival ,Chinese New Year,is the most important festival for all us. But we find the western festival become more popular than New Year in the recently years. some people wonder whether the Christmas will replace the Spring Festival in the future.we can find easily Christmas cards become popular with students.Meanwhile the Spring Festival is less appealing to youngsters.Then this worry is fairly unnecessary .Why?Do we should treasure the Spring Festival forever? In my opinion ,the Spring Festival as the most influential traditional festival have important meaning for us .Several days before the new year， people begin to prepare. Farmers kill pigs，sheep，cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. Houses are cleaned； coupletsare (春联)posted on the doors. Colorful lanterns are hung at the gate.All family members will get together on New Year Eve to have a big meal . During which people do not work except for the workers on duty. Students do not go to school,and shops are closed. At the same time ,everyone celebrates to each other . When people meet on the way， they say to each other "Happy New Year"..At about 12 oclock，some parents and children light crackers.The whole sky is lighted brightly. We may watch the fireworks excitedly. How busy it is！ On the first early，morning of one year，Friends and relatives pay new year calls and gives presents to each other.
